Ironclad Keeps Hands Warm, Protected all Winter Long
Cold Condition Work Gloves Offer the Next
Generation in Cold Weather Hand Protection
Whether you’re
ready or not, Dec. 21 marks the official start of winter
this year, and it makes a good time for outdoor servicemen
and women to make sure they're prepared to bear inclement
winter weather while on the job.
According to
the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA),
frostbite can occur within one minute at zero degrees
Fahrenheit and at least 15 mph winds. Wetness and water
further compound the chance for cold weather injuries and
illnesses. Many cases may require immediate medical
attention.
At this time
of year especially, outdoor servicemen and women working
with their hands can’t afford to make compromises between
apparel that keeps them warm and the necessary work
accessories that enable them to do their job.
The quality of
gloves used in the wintertime can have a large impact on
an employee’s work and safety. Bulky five-finger gloves or
warm mittens are a great way to battle cold, but they rob
workers of the dexterity of working barehanded, and can be
a liability due to the poor grip they allow on tools or
working surfaces. Common work gloves or open-fingered
gloves give the illusion of providing necessary warmth,
but they offer little protection in terms of ability to
retain heat or keep out cold air.
Until now.
Ironclad Performance Wear has developed innovative new
solutions to help workers keep a grip on their jobs
without letting winter weather intervene: Cold Condition
work glove.
For high
abrasion, cold-climate jobs down to 32 F, the Ironclad
Cold Condition®
is the first work glove to provide warmth, comfort and
full dexterity. It’s ideal for nearly any job performed in
a cold environment while handling the most delicate or
toughest of tasks.
The Cold
Condition glove also offers Gorilla Grip palm and finger
pads for excellent tool control. The palm and shell are
both treated with DuPont Teflon®
for oil and water repellency. A DuPont Hytrel®
membrane laminated to a Micro-Fleece lining make this
glove wind resistant and warm. A
neoprene shell that helps
protect fingers from knuckle impact. The Cold Condition
glove also offers a
neoprene wrist closure to help keep
out the elements and keep body heat in.
Due to its
versatile design and ability to outperform common gloves
in cold environments, the Cold Condition work glove is
recommended for jobs susceptible to heavy abrasion like
equipment operation, hand/power tool use, material
handling and cold storage.
So, as the
temperatures drop, don’t sacrifice hand warmth for the
ability to be agile on the job. And don’t sacrifice
control of your work with clumsy gloves inept for the
tasks you need to accomplish everyday. Ironclad gloves
have a solution to keep you warm no matter what is keeping
you out in the cold, whether it’s snow removal, outdoor
utility work, roadside emergencies, or camping.
